2024 PRSA Travel and Tourism Conference

This year’s conference will be held June 2–5, 2024 in Greenville, South Carolina, and they have specially invited all PRAM members to join the learning, networking and fun. Registration is open for members and non-members.

Use this as a time to meet new media members, learn best practices from our peers, make valuable connections, and dive into the future of the travel and tourism industry.

The first full day of the conference will be dedicated to professional development sessions covering timely topics, including crisis communications, collaborating with content creators, partnerships and strategic planning, DEI case studies, and sports tourism powerplays. The second full day will feature a variety of media sessions, covering topics including reality TV, meetings and conventions, amplifying diversity, social media storytelling and niche/new publications – just to name a few.

Journalists joining us for interactive media panels and general sessions include Laura Redman, AFAR; Amy Virshup, The New York Times; Sucheta Rawal, freelance for Zagat, Fodor’s, Travel + Leisure, etc.; Kayla Brock, Conde Nast Traveler; Tara Massouleh McCay, Southern Living; and the list goes on! And, get ready for a treat as Greenville native Tyler Florence, a 27-year Food Network veteran, author and 2X James Beard nominee, serves as our keynote speaker. To close out our time of learning and networking, we will hear from Dr. Alex Lawrence on the importance of AI in travel.

Attendees will enjoy roundtable sessions with our peers, the return of Travel Trends Trivia and opportunities to connect and experience gorgeous Greenville at our opening reception and media mixer. Plus, we have an APR session on the docket, too. Even though this conference is geared toward travel PR pros, PRAM members will learn a ton from the programming.
