PRAM presents two annual awards to outstanding public
relations professionals.
Professional Achievement Award
The Professional Achievement Award is PRAM's top honor
and recognizes excellence in the field of public relations.
It is presented to a public relations practitioner
and PRAM member whose accomplishments have made a major
contribution to the profession. Recipients embody the
highest degree of professionalism, serve their communities,
are committed to advancing the profession and have
outstanding achievements in the practice of public
relations.
A panel of public relations practitioners
evaluate the nominations and make a selection based
on the following criteria:
- Career Accomplishments
- Professional Achievements
including PRAM/SPRF involvement and other professional
activities
- Accreditation and other continuing education
- Community
activities
Educator of the Year
In 2008, PRAM began recognizing outstanding professional
educator members through its Educator of the Year award.
PRAM established this award to recognize
an educator who has taught public relations or a closely-related
discipline and who has demonstrated a commitment to advance
the profession of public relations. Full-time faculty
members teaching in a public relations/journalism/communication
curriculum, at any rank, who are members of the Public
Relations Association of Mississippi are eligible for
nomination.
